"Man/woman" are social constructs. They are identities related to how we interact and relate to each other. They are malleable things.

For now, people with biologically male body parts are unable to get pregnant regardless of whether they are women or men in their social or personal identities. Should that matter? Of what practical purpose does knowing someone's ability to concieve serve beyond being in a relationship and having kids?

Why is it so important that a person born with specific chemistry that develops their neutral biology into specific reproductive purposes fall into line with things like clothing, pronouns, societal roles, and bathrooms?

Keep in mind that sex organs are analogous to each other: testicles are ovaries, labia are scrotum, and clitorides are penises, just developed differently based on hormones.

I understand that there are religious beliefs that may change a person's perception about this, but in secular society a person's reproductive status is their business.

I can honestly say that the Trump supporters (who are conservative Christians) are the most hateful, obnoxious, and bigoted people I have ever met in my life. I can say that with complete confidence because I'm a former conservative evangelical Christian. I was also a registered Republican for 26 years.

During this time, I had a lot of conflict with other conservative Christians over their abhorrent contempt for women, minorities, immigrants (documented or not), and LGBTQ individuals. I also grew up in a predominantly conservative Christian environment (home and town) before that and have known many conservative Christians over the years through church and in places I've lived. In other words, I'm very familiar with them and how they normally behave.

I've shared the following stories in other threads on a similar topic to this one, but I'd like to share them again in response to your post.

The vast majority of my family are evangelical conservative Christians who believe that Trump is a devout Christian and that God sent him to reclaim America. In fact, I'm estranged from these relatives because of how they have treated me since I refused to support and vote for Trump. I have aunts, uncles, and cousins who turned on me and talked about me behind my back. I was uninvited to our family reunion in the summer following Trump's election. A family acquaintance informed me that I had been uninvited because my presence there would have upset everyone else. Unfortunately, the verbal abuse, the bullying, and the harassment increased substantially after I voted for Biden. I blocked the phone numbers of my relatives and former conservative friends, and I blocked a few of them on Facebook. One of the worst experiences for me was having to call the police on my cousin because he threatened to beat me up after he found out that I voted for Biden. My conservative friends turned their backs on me because I don't support Trump.

Lastly, I'm a former member of a Christian forum where the majority of the evangelicals genuinely believed and declared in their posts that Trump is a Christian, that God anointed him to reclaim America, and that God appointed him to purge America of liberals. I was told I had been demon-possessed, and that's why I voted for Biden. I was spitefully reported by several members, which resulted in my permanent ban with no warning. I reported those who harassed me, but I was told that I was the troublemaker. I received a warning, but the members who degraded and harassed me did not. A staff member who sympathized with me emailed me the day after I was banned to let me know that these members were gloating about how they got me and the other harassed user perma-banned. It was upsetting to read.

There's an old saying that "Christians eat their own," and I'm living proof it's true. Many of the conservative Christians I knew accused me of being anti-Christian because I didn't vote for and support Trump, even though I was a Christian at the time. No one who accused me of this had ever attacked my personal faith or my character until I refused to politically support Trump. Some of them even called me anti-American and a traitor to my country.

The reason I am giving is because "man/woman" is a social construct that is useful separate from the biological "male/female" (which is also a messy, complicated thing when viewed as a dichotomy).

Given that there are many people whose bodies have female anatomy but socially are more on the "man" side of the spectrum, very likely there are men (men) who have been pregnant.

I understand that this new thing of separating gender from sex can be difficult to grasp or accept by some people but it is likely going to stick as it is very useful and more descriptive of reality.

I don't think Biden's declaration is a potshot at Christians, but rather some disgruntled Christians with a persecution complex lamenting that their hallowed Easter is overshadowed by the public recognition of transgender people, whom they love to hate. They don't even bother to hide their religious bigotry.

I agree that the christians are being ridiculous about this.

The US recognizes 3 different months and 8 days that promote transgender awareness. I don't know of any other group that has this amount of support. Unsurprisingly not included is Detrans awareness day on March 14th. These people are very marginalized because quite often they are marginalized by the trans community they are part of.
