Both Harris and Biden gave great and inspiring speeches full of humanity, inspiration and positive aspiration. The contrast between their speeches and what we've heard for the past 4 years was absolute. I'll note two things, one of the a hymn he quoted:

And to those who voted for President Trump, I understand your disappointment tonight.
I've lost a couple of elections myself.
But now, let's give each other a chance.
It's time to put away the harsh rhetoric.
To lower the temperature.
To see each other again.
To listen to each other again.
To make progress, we must stop treating our opponents as our enemy.
We are not enemies. We are Americans.
The Bible tells us that to everything there is a season — a time to build, a time to reap, a time to sow. And a time to heal.
This is the time to heal in America.

"And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand."

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Its just a rah rah speech. Nothing more.

The brass braying like a company commander on the parade ground warming the cockles of your heart. Or maybe the sub cockle region. Who knows?

It was great hearing the tones of inclusion, an embracing of science, and mentioning decency, humanity, and empathy. After these past four years it almost didn't even seem real, that the tone has changed from horribly negative to hopeful and positive, and the realization that Trump is done. His time is limited, it is coming soon, and he must leave. Trump and his hatred, his divisiveness, his recklessness, his ego, it's done in a little over two months (Christmas comes in January this/next year).

Another thing I want to point out, Obama included a widely disparaged group (especially getting it from Conservative Christians) as those who are Americans in his inaugural speech. And tonight, his Number One stepped up to accept the helm of the nation and included a widely disparaged group (especially getting it from Conservative Christians) in his speech.
