It's much more accurately called "the Fox Propaganda Channel". Four independent studies I've seen rate their accuracy* on news at the bottom of the list of major news channels followed by MSNBC. The most accurate were PBS NewsHour followed by CNN. One study some years ago found that those who get their national news only from Fox know less accurate news than those who generally don't watch national news channels. Now, I don't know if that's still true today, but my guess is that it is since they've become bosom buddies with Donald J. Trump.

This should be extremely interesting, but it won't be necessary to watch the proceedings to learn what the new revelations are that the committee has been tempting the public with or to see the Republican reaction.

True -- but we've already seen the Republican reaction. They're screeching that it's all fake and witch-hunt and illegitimate even BEFORE they know what will be produced.

I’m used to it. Every time a kid dies people who don’t care about law, life or reality make a bunch of pseudo moral speeches, lie like rugs and pretend their control measures would actually fix the problem.

I’m very used to it. I’m just never going to buy that it is workable or honest.

This is why I believe this is just a show trial.

1. All the members of the committee were picked by Nancy Pelosi. The republicans had no say as to who was on the committee, Pelosi rejected the republican appointments to the committee. The two republicans picked by Pelosi are rabid Trump haters and voted to impeach him. This has never been done before. Does this sound like a fair committee?
2. To my knowledge the committee has not investigated the role in protecting the capitol or the national guard offered by Trump to capitol police for that purpose days before Jan 6th. The offers were all rejected. The role of Pelosi and Schumer to not protect the capitol with the national guard. This is an important point that they are ignoring. Since it is Pelosi's committee, it will never be investigated.
3. Trump said to protest peaceable that morning. This has never been brought up as far as I know.
4. The committee is performing criminal investigations which it does not have power to do.
5. They are professionally producing it to provide one narrative. It is basically a tax payer commercial for the dems. Former ABC News exec working with January 6 panel on upcoming hearings - CNNPolitics
6. There is no counterevidence brought up, only evidence that tells one story. See point 2 and 3.

That has nothing to do with accuracy. CNN is more credible than Fox and most RW media.
Anything that interferes with the Republican agenda will be demonized by Fox, etc.

She seemed to indicate that this information would be coming. Cheney was making an “opening statement”, similar to a lawyer telling the jury what evidence they are going to hear during the trial. (not to imply this is a trial)

Why?
There is nothing new nor interesting.
This was nothing more than a dog and poney show.
The Democrats have nothing to run on this coming Nov and they are just trying to energize their base, which is decreasing daily.
They have lost independent, minorities, and the moderate Democrats probably will not vote. All they have left is the far left.
