I have to write an essay on how I'd use technology to solve a problem in the world. Any suggestions for problems that people don't often think of? Just trying to get lots of ideas before I start writing. Thanks.

The greatest advances in the last decade have all been the area of genetics. From stem cell research to genetically engineering food. I would suggest poking around on genetics websites and digging for anwers.

Cheap, widly available high speed internet. It would solve communication problems for people whos only option is very expensive, unreliable satalite internet, or very slow, unreliable dial-up.
