I have been learning about how to foster creativity in young children. One thing we have been taught is process art. Process art is different then product focus art where you focus on the end result. Process art you let the kid create what they want with the materials you provide and you praise the process not the end result. You don't try to lead the child in what they create, you don't change what the child has created, and you encourage whatever they come up with. Here is a 5 minute video my class had me watch regarding it:
This teaches all domains. It teaches math skills as the child has to focus on how much to use of something or how many pieces of an object they need, maybe even measuring depending on what the kid decides to do and what you using. It teaches cognitive ability as the child has to plan and problem solve. It teaches social and language development as the child talks about their work and how they got their result and collaboration if more then one kid is working together. It teaches physical development as you must use fine motor skills. It finally also teaches emotional regulation and self expression thus foster emotional development,
