Proof of a very recent creation!

This universe was created five minutes ago.

Any "evidence" of an older universe was also created five minutes ago.

Such is the nature of "reality".

You demonstrate the power of skepticism quite effectively. I could create an infinite number of similar hypotheses that the universe was created 6, 7, 8 minutes ago along with 'evidence' of an older universe also created five minutes ago.

Yet there would still be the singular hypothesis that the universe began at a particular time, and the best estimate of that time is dependent on the evidence.

Yes, it's true, but we run into problems with predictability. Where we really see this (the OP) idea is origins, this is where the non-theists are left blubbering about 'amazing coincidence' theories. you be the judge on plausibility.

If you accept any version of this, then you accept that effect needs no cause, therefore all teleological arguments are void, and the theist is left blubbering..oh... yea!

Sorry my friend, it wasn't a creation - it was a particularly nasty poo.

Such is the nature of my poo.

People sense it and start threads like this on RF.

I'm sorry but this doesn't make the least bit of sense to me. 5 minutes ago I was eating sausage and 10 minutes ago I was at the store. How would it be possible for the universe to be created 5 minutes ago when I know for a fact that I was at the store 5 minutes previous to that?

Your memories/experiences were created in tact, 5 minutes ago, to give the appearance that creation is much older.

It takes me six minutes to achieve orgasm and I can prove that with indisputable video evidence. Therefore any hypothesis predicting a universe less than six minutes old flies in the face of my spasms of delight. My orgasms prove the existence of all things, and that those things take at least six minutes to foment; except there was that one time. Damn it!

What evidence do you have to support that claim?

It's worth noting that you felt obliged to put quotation marks around your notion of "reality." What you've offered here almost rises to the level of "comedy."

I was only half-joking!

The claims are perfetly reasonable - the only reality is the present moment.

Have a good one!
