I don't think we're discussing the same thing.
I addressed speculatively blaming misogyny for Harris's loss.
You're addressing Trump's faults.
However, practicality really does suggest her running mate should be a governer, one from a swing state -- and male! Which sadly rules out Gretchen Whitmer. She'd give JD Vance a run for his money, I can confidently say.
I became a women over the weekend so now I’m representing a new constituency!

I like Whitmer. As for the rest, while Buttigieg has never been a governor, he ...
is an American politician and former naval officer who is serving as the 19th United States secretary of transportation. A member of the Democratic Party, he was the 32nd mayor of South Bend, Indiana, from 2012 to 2020, which earned him the nickname "Mayor Pete".Buttigieg is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Oxford, attending the latter on a Rhodes Scholarship. From 2009 to 2017, he was an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve, attaining the rank of lieutenant. He was mobilized and deployed to the War in Afghanistan for seven months in 2014. [source]

You tempt me with political drama, but you don't deliver.
Do you think we will?
I like Whitmer, too, but Buttigieg isn't going to deliver any electoral votes or draw voters away from Trump. He can't even deliver his home state of Indiana.
What do you think of Josh Shapiro? Pennsylvania is must-win for the Democrats. Michigan is almost as important.

Can't we go one her record and her stances to date? She did run for president before. How about the border mess, I disagree with her on abortion, I disagree on her stance on green energy, I did agree on her tax policy, I disagree with her stance on Gaza, I disagree on her cash bail and minimum sentence abolition for starters. She also wants to decriminalize illegal border crossings.Which policies and ideas in particular are you opposed to? I mean, it hasn't been her platform for a full 24 hours yet.
Not all are like you.FWIW, if you tell me that her gender and ethnic heritage has nothing to do with your upcoming vote, I'm more than willing to take you at your word. I'm also more than willing to expect you to repudiate any sexist and/or ethnic slurs issued by those you support.
I quite agree.I remember similar questions before Obama was elected. Then it was racism. Now it's gender. Obama proved that the right candidate can win in spite of not being white. Harris can do the same with gender.
Many people said they wanted an alternative to Biden and Trump. Now their wish has been fulfilled. Harris is female and young. It's up to her to make the case to the disaffected that she's a better choice.
Why do dems trust her or your party? The media, Kamala and the dem party has lied to you for a long time about Biden's condition until 1 second prior to the debate. The debate exposed their lies and now you trust her to be president? My morning NYT email alerted me to the following piece in the Sacramento Bee:
the central question posed being: "But do Americans share enough disgust over Trump this year to forget their traditional misogyny when it comes to the top job?
We can expect more than enough sexist and misogynistic attacks (here as well as elsewhere) against "DEI Harris." Let's hope that this serves only to amplify the breadth and depth of the disgust over the MAGA-Project 2025 team.

Mind elaborating a bit on that? I don't know a heck of a lot about Buttigieg, but from what I've seen of him, he's well-spoken, capable of delivering information in a deliberate and palatable manner, and focused on facts. His delivery seems to typically either shut up his opposition or make them look foolish. Harris and Buttigieg would easily engance the perception that Trump and Vance are immature children.
His name is also more recognizable than Shapiro.
I feel better now.I'm a tease.

There are possibilities for VP who have a track record of winning in red states. In the 2024 environment that counts for a lot in my book. You mean like Kamala delivered her home state to Biden?
I agree that he is well-spoken, but the election is not going to be won merely by pointing out that Trump and Vance have a lot of baggage. Unfortunately, he would do little to attract new voters to the Harris campaign, but he would do more to rally Trump's base, given his sexual orientation and same-sex marriage. Harris already has to contend with misogynistic and racial attacks in social media. That would be more of a distraction than a help during news cycles.
Granted, but Buttigieg has also never won any election other than mayor of South Bend, Indiana. He never even held a statewide office in Indiana, and I doubt that he could win an election there. He has been a great Transportation Secretary, but that is not an elective office.
