Proud Boys leader sentenced to 22 years for January 6

This is the severest punishment yet, and recognizes the intent of January 6 -- and it is that recognition that I believe makes this sentence both right and important.

It cannot bode well for Trump and his 18 indicted co-conspirators, since it specifically addresses seditious conspiracy.

I hope Trump's sentence is this long.
But I just don't believe that a former
President will ever see prison.
They'll remain above the law.

The way to neutralize these freaks is to plant a rumor that they have been infiltrated by the FBI.
It's almost obvious that someone has gone out of their way to discredit the far right. Kind of believable. Kind of inevitable they'd do that for themselves, however.

Is it? I see a lot of people claim the little nazi rally in Orlando was a fed plant but I don't so. I think some of these people are just genuinely stupid and bad people.

That said the leaders behind these movements need to be found and prosecuted when they do slip up and have chargeable offenses.

Pretty sad, really. Presidents, Prime Ministers, Shahs, Kings and Queens, rulers from all around the world have been imprisoned and some even executed for their crimes -- but the U.S. can't do it? (Actually, I believe Jefferson Davis was technically a President -- of the Confederate States of America. But I suppose that doesn't count.)

Trump is looking at this all wrong . it could be another of the "Firsts" that he has. Then he could work on being the best prisoner ever.

So many opportunities!

This recognizes how serious and gleeful that the Left is about imprisoning their political rivals. Contrast this with how Liberal the Left is on so many other crimes? There certainly isn't much concern about riots, intimidation, property damage, looting and burning down businesses? Imagine if the full force of the Fed.gov went after ANTIFA?

You would prefer he be given a nice shiny medal and a fat cheque for breaking into and vandalizing the People's House? Strange sense of law and order you got there.

And your "gleeful" comment was misplaced. I showed no glee in what I wrote.

Oh you love it! Vandalizing the peoples house was shameful and there should be some sentence and a fine paid back over time! But 22 years???

What makes you think that violent insurrectionists are political rivals? You are now insulting your own politics. You seem to think that all Republicans are violent, instead of just a few outliers whose long prison terms you should be cheering for.
