Just out of interest, Marie and I were watching T.V the other night - It was a programme about shares - the best ones to invest in...........etc.

I was a bit put out when the presenter talked of a 'hot tip' for a share to be floated on the market soon; it was in a company that runs a chain of Casinos.

My immediate reaction was "Well, there is no way I am going to invest in that!".........

How do you all feel about this ? - in other words, would you (If you have the spare cash) buy shares in a munitions factory, a Casino outlet ?:)

I have a few shares in a Bank.
I suppose that is equally as bad.

But I think as a Christian you should think about the nature of an investment, Good or Bad.and act according to your concience.

I know a lot of people who won't invest in companies involved in the tobacco or alcohol industries for the same reasons. The only stocks I own are in a bank for which my dad used to work and my current employer. The rest of my monies are invested in funds through my 401K.

With multi-national corporations involved in global activities, it can be hard to find out all the pies they have their coporate finger in these days.:D

Yea , once the bank has your money , who knows where it ends up at ? :)

Each to their own Michel . The is nothing wrong with guns or gambling in theirselves . If is what becomes of both , where the concern lays , I believe . Here in B.C. , you can't turn around without facing a Keno screen , it seems . :( Many say that gambling is a tax on the poor . I say that gambling is a tax on the stupid ... ;) { Oh , I should add that in Canada , all gambling is joinly ran with the government , thereforth the comparesion to a tax } .
