I see that Putin is back in charge in Russia now.

is that good or bad?

I always had the impression that he was some kind of no-nonsense socialist leaning type of a guy that fought corruption and rampant capitalism.

Most russians would say "better Putin than Zyuganov".

I've heard that Putin wants to return to the old USSR, so if you're a socialist or communist, I guess it's good that he's in charge.
