I don't actually know enough about him to have a clear opinion one way or the other.
Funny though, how you once again are jumping all around the point at hand.
The point was about how Russia deliberately caused an economic crisis in Europe by artificially creating a gas shortage, which made prices skyrocket and because of which we STILL have to deal with inflated prices of all kinds of things due to the ripple effect 2 years later.

I know a lot more about Putin then I know about Verhofstad. I would know a lot more about Verhofstad also if he were ordering wars of aggressions against neighbors and causing economic crisis's in Europe by weaponizing energy.Ah, I see.

No. It's about being economically depended through energy supplies of tyrants who don't shy away of weaponizing those supplies to economically blackmail us to do his bidding.
It's about you falsely claiming that it somehow costs us money by shifting away from such an untrustworthy trade partner, while the exact opposite is true.
