It is said that quantum entanglement makes teleportation possible. But we don't have the luxury of a Star Trek version.
However, because quantum particles are in a superposition of states until observation fixes it, it may still be possible to teleport the state or properties of one particle to another. While entanglement leaves only an exact copy of a particle, implying the truth of the ancient mystical teaching that separation is an illusion, wormholes do provide a more feasible alternative to instantaneous travel. That is, wormholes provide a mechanism for teleportation, but in a more structure-preserving sense.
The very concept of wormholes and entanglement supports the idea of the Reality Self-Simulation Hypothesis.
