Question about God and Angels..

The question; Who created God himself?

Maybe he created creation, time, life before he made the universe or something...Maybe he was there before all of that. What's your opinion on that?

And Angels...Did God give Angel's free will? Does that mean they can sin?

Guardian Angels...What's the purpose of them?

God is without origin, He has always existed, however it would be better to simply say "God is" for if you state that God is and recognize His infinite nature then it follows that "Heis" in all times all places and all dimensions. This may be unacceptable to many, but if you accept evolution you must believe that the material for the big bang came from nothing originally. The human mind cannot really comprehend all this...yet we are here, we exist. As far as angels all we can know is what the Bible speaks of (assuming one accepts the Bible of course, if not then everything becomes conjecture). As far as Satan and the angels they obviously chose to leave God, but whether angels can still fall after their original decision and many other questions, I do not know.

God exists in the mind of many to explain how the universe got created. Asking how God himself got created is really adding insult to an already injured thought process. ;)

Monotheism evolved out of polytheistic traditions. In order for the idea to catch on in the minds of believers, it is handy to have a good place to put all of the demoted lesser gods. Angels and saints for some Christians play the same role as the lesser gods in the earlier polytheistic tradition. The lesser gods tended to be specialized for helping with more focused problems--the protection of the household, the safety and well-being of a traveler, an advocate to more powerful gods, etc. Hence, some Christians still pray to angels and saints, and patron saints are still categorized for their special roles. For example, you might pray to Saint Benedict if you have a problem in one of the following areas:

So my answer to the question is that angels (and also saints) are a legacy of polytheism. They helped pagan culture in the transition to monotheism.

I believe there was never a time without Gods and that there is no such thing as "pure space". Our Heavenely Father is the one who organized the materials necessary for this earth for his spirit children to gain physical bodies and decende below all things in order to become like him and the cycle continues endlessly throughout all eternity.

I believe life here on earth is patterned after our celestal life in regards to families. and that our generations continue to grow and we will personally progress eternally. Granted that we do the things that are asked of us here by our Heavenly Father. The things he asks us to do prepare us to recieve our rewards. there are no "useless" things in life, everythign has a place and purpose and all lead back to the same source.
