Interesting. I didn't know that. Is there a reason they came to that conclusion?MidnightBlue said:The RLDS (formerly) and the Community of Christ (now) have always recognized the Book of Mormon as scripture. However, the RLDS/CoC has also had its own editions of the Book of Mormon, which differ in some ways from the LDS version. Grant McMurray, while President, didn't seem to believe that the Book of Mormon was factual, though, and many members of the CoC believe the Book of Mormon was written by Joseph Smith himself, and not translated from the writings of ancient Americans.
Since I'm not LDS or anything like that myself, it seems like the natural conclusion to me. But looking at it from an LDS perspective, I guess it is odd.beckysoup61 said:Interesting. I didn't know that. Is there a reason they came to that conclusion?
