Question for Catholics on ordination

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Sounds better than my ex-wife's church, where one of the priests was still doing all his regular duties despite the lawsuit from his victims.

The priest died peacefully in his bed before the case went to trial.
That sounds terrible. Hasn't been my experience at all, anywhere.

Because of Fr. Leo Campbell, it was the experience of a number of children in Windsor and Toronto.

Not only did they not defrock him, they even posted him to a school for boys after multiple reports of him committing sexual abuse.

The scope of the issue in the Catholic Church is such that even though most priests didn't commit abuse themselves, most priests almost certainly were aware of abuse by priests close to them and allowed it to continue.

I believe that you will find that the rate of child molestation is about the same in the Catholic church as it is elsewhere. But regardless, even one child is too many.
