In Proverbs 15:24 it mentions people following God don't have to be afraid of the grave. But if you notice it says the grave below. What does it mean by the grave below?
We the living are ' above ' the grass.
The dead are considered as ' below or beneath ' the grass.
Right, I find we do Not have to be afraid the grave/death.
Death is the price tag that sin pays as per Romans 6:23; Romans 6:7.
So, since one's 'death' pays the price tag of sin in FULL, then there is No post-mortem penalty, No double jeopardy.
In death there is only sleep. Even the word cemetery means: sleeping place.
'Sleep in death' is in harmony with the Bible really teaches about the condition of the dead.
Both Jesus and the old Hebrew Scriptures teach unconscious sleep while dead:
- John 11:11-14; Psalms 6:5; Psalms 13:3; Psalms 115:17; Psalms 146:4; Isaiah 38:18; Ecclesiastes 9:5.
Some have a first or earlier resurrection according to Revelation 20:6; 2:10.
The rest or majority can have a later or future resurrection back to live life on Earth.
This is why the ' future tense' is used at Acts of the Apostles 24:15 that there ' is going to be ' a resurrection.....
That happy-and-healthy physical resurrection takes place during Jesus' coming 1,000-year rule over Earth.
This is when resurrected mankind will see 'healing' for earth's nations as per Revelation 22:2.
This is why we are all invited to pray the invitation of Revelation 22:20 for Jesus to come !
Come and bring heavenly benefits to Earth for the ' healing ' of earth's nations.
'Healing' as also described in Isaiah 35th chapter.
