Hi , please could the christians on this board give me a yes or no answer, on another thread (about michael) i made the statement that christendom for the most part ,do not recognize that Jesus is the michael spoken of in the bible, was i correct in saying this? this is not a debate thread, i would just generally like to know if i was correct in making that statement. so do you belief that Jesus is michael?

(Jude 9) (revelation12;7) ( Daniel 10;13) (Daniel 12;1)

I'm not a Christian anymore, but when I was, I didn't believe that Jesus=Michael.

However, I have a children's book of Bible stories that my grandfather gave to my mother in the 1940s, and it explicitly says that Michael is Jesus. My mother gave it to me in turn when I was a child, and I remember being very surprised by that. Unfortunately, the book is in storage now, so I can't tell you for sure who published it. But if I remember correctly, it came from a Seventh-Day Adventist publishing house.

Is it possible -- remembering that Jehovah's Witnesses and Seventh-Day Adventists have a historical connection through the Millerite movement -- that this is a particularly "Millerite" belief?

I dont know to much about this but I have always understood Michael to be Adam, I may be mistaken I am not quite sure.
That's the LDS belief, but as far as I know it's peculiar to the LDS and related churches.

No. If, as Hebrews asserts, Christ is higher than the angels, then He cannot be an archangel. That would still be an angel. Besides, in following the historical theology I'm trinitarian, which would even further contradict it.

thanks for the answers ,even though i am sure there are more christians out there , who have not posted , the poll says 100% no , so it seems that christendom for the most part do not think that Jesus is michael .

Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.
Deu 18:19 It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
