-1- What is your view about the afterlife?

I have no memory of being dead in the afterlife, so anything I think about it is speculation. I do think that people who contribute lasting influence to their cultural group live on, in a way, and there may be some survival of consciousness involved. Dunno, really.

-2- Do you believe Jesus and the God of the bible exist?

The Bible is a vast religious record showing combined influences of several cultural groups from millennia ago. IMO, it says no more, and no less, than any other such artifact does about the Deity, insofar as humans at this stage of our development can comprehend what "Deity" might be. The God of the Bible and Jesus, at this point exist in the forms of many egregores -- concepts developed and changed over the centuries by various groups of believers. And maybe nonbelievers as well.

-3- Do you normally feel happy in your life?

I feel happy about things that make me feel that way. I think that is fairly "normal".

-4- What made you follow the left-handed path?

The LHP is not something you are forced to follow by an outside influence. There is no religious conversion process involved. I think LHP is something you are by your nature, but the choice exists how far to develop your natural inclinations.

-5- Do you like Satan for what he is and what he does?

The LHP may, or may not, include the concept of Satan as an important archetype. Personally, I don't use Biblical references -- including "Satan" -- in my spiritual life, as they are culturally alien to me.

-6- What are the morales learned. Are they all about selfishness and greed above all?

In ny view, the LHP is not about learning morals. Ethics are essentially cultural, but modified by individual life experience and each person's unique vision. Some contemporary LHP groups throw around words like "selfishness" for their own reasons, but I am not a member of one of those groups so I cannot properly represent their points of view. You can read about these topics in threads here in the LHP DIR and in the Satanism DIRs. Greed is what it is, and as far as I know, is not a virtue (?) in any religious community.

-7- Do you support/enjoy child sacrifice?

I suggest you do some reading right here at Religious Forums about the LHP and/or Satanism, and then come back with a reframed question if you wish to discuss topics like human sacrifice.

-8- Can you summarize what Satanism is all about? Because from my own experience, each one described it differently than the other.

Again, the LHP is not necessarily a path involving "Satanism". Here on REF, the DIR areas for LHP and Satanism are separate. Not all who consider themselves Satanists are LHP, and not all who walk the LHP are Satanists. I am not a Satanist, so I don't feel qualified to comment.

-1- What is your view about the afterlife?
It's a mystery.
-2- Do you believe Jesus and the God of the bible exist?
I don't know. Maybe, maybe not.
-3- Do you normally feel happy in your life?
I feel happy more often than I feel sad.
-4- What made you follow the left-handed path?
Knowledge, wisdom and understanding.
-5- Do you like Satan for what he is and what he does?
Satan is just a title.
-6- What are the morales learned. Are they all about selfishness and greed above all?
Your morals are what you make them.
-7- Do you support/enjoy child sacrifice?
 Are you serious?
-8- Can you summarize what Satanism is all about? Because from my own experience, each one described it differently than the other.
I AM not a satanist.

I was taught about christ alongside gravity and Ohm's Law as though they were equally true. When the evidence started pouring in that christ isn't real, I took many years to decide very carefully on his existence, as you would had you discovered that gravity doesn't exist.

It didn't help that christians consistently made a horses behind of themselves while christianity was on probation. I was ashamed to be one of you.

When I made my final decision, a burden had been lifted. I had no one to please but myself! I feel fantastic and I'll never turn back.

I didn't chose to be a Satanist, I simply am a Satanist.

1. I do not accept the mythology of a heaven of glory bright or a hell where sinners roast. Death is the ultimate mystery, nobody knows what happens after this life until one actually experiences it.

2. No. To me Jesus and God are nothing more than mythological characters created by man, just like Zeus or Prometheus, etc. I do think they are reflections of certain metaphysical or religious principles taught in the christian faith.

3. Absolutely, of course, like anyone else I have my ups and downs, my good days and bad days.

4. Now that's a long story. I wasn't made to follow anything, let's just say that I was born unto the LHP. To walk the LHP seemed only natural to me, it's the only way I've truly felt comfortable with.

5. I honor the Prince of Darkness as the First Principle of psyche-centric Awareness and as the ageless Intelligence of this Universe, as That which, in aeons past, infused within that which has become humankind the Will to Come Into Being, and who inspires us in our quest for perfection of Being and to become more than just the sum of our parts.

6. I have my mother and father to thank for my moral and ethical upbringing. Even though good and evil are purely subjective terms to me, living by certain ethics is done out of personal respect and admiration for one's Self and for those he loves and holds dear. Making decisions that will result in the best outcome in ones life and for those whom he cares about and not out of any fear of being judged by some non-existent higher being.

7. Now I am actually insulted by that question! How would you like it if I asked you if you supported or enjoyed bombing abortion clinics? My answer is NO, BUT HELL NO!! :slap:

8. Satanism represents rational self-interest, it requires study and practice not worship. It inspires us to actualize our ultimate potentials and to work towards the Mastery of Life.

For ever in the Black Flame!

Left Hand Path
-1- What is your view about the afterlife?

I appreciate the ideas more than I accept them. To me personally, such concepts are nothing more than devices used to sway what one believes in.

A line with a hook on it, you could say. But like Adramalek said, death is a mystery and these "afterlifes" are more so tools used to captivate people's curiosity.

-2- Do you believe Jesus and the God of the bible exist?

To a certain extent, nothing beyond literal conception. I believe in the metaphysical aspect more, and the psychological one.

-3- Do you normally feel happy in your life?

Of course I do. I wouldn't (among most people) follow something that causes harm or is detrimental to one's emotional and physical being.

-4- What made you follow the left-handed path?

Nothing made me follow the "LHP". I simply am, and simply will continue to be.

If your asking as to how I stumbled upon it, well that is a different story entirely.

As a child I have always been aware of this "God" and "Satan" character, and I have always considered myself to be a "Satanist" without even really knowing what it was. Until the recent years when I developed abstract reasoning and got hooked into philosophy and similar aspects, I learned from the forums here and from some personal research at home that I fit right in.

-5- Do you like Satan for what he is and what he does?

Sure, as unclear as this question may be. I like Satan for what I think he is and what I think he does.

It is completely subjective though don't get me wrong, I don't want to be agreeing to something if you have a totally different view of it.

Satan is probably different to me than it is to you, so it might be harder for you to appreciate this idea.

-6- What are the morales learned. Are they all about selfishness and greed above all?

Absolutely not.

The Self is the key, the self is what arises when taking something into consideration.

Some view it has "selfishness" and "greed" above all, but those people lack some serious self reflection and understanding of what the self truly is.

-7- Do you support/enjoy child sacrifice?

The thought horrifies me, and had you been next to me I would had the mind to slap you across the face.

Such stereotypes belong to nothing more than heartless criminals and rapists, who should if I might add, be whipped clean off the face of the Earth.

-8- Can you summarize what Satanism is all about? Because from my own experience, each one described it differently than the other.

Adramalek "summarized" it pretty good.

And you will hear different descriptions almost everytime, because every Satanist is unique and perceptive to their own view of what they are.

If there is one thing I might add though, it would be that Satanism and Satan himself are the very aspects that allow most other religions to be prevalent.

Because you know...everyone needs a scapegoat. The debt is adding up though, don't get me wrong ;)

Thanks.

1) I do not concern myself with the afterlife.

2) I am not certain. There are many saviors in history and Jesus/Yeshua was just one variation. As for the God of the Bible, I hardly care.

3) Happiness is chemical, I feel it from time to time but I do not seek it out.

4) I am not sure if I should call my path Left Hand but what brought me to Satan is Satan. Period.

5) I love Satan for WHO He is and WHAT He does, even if I do not fully know every aspect of either.

6) I work very hard to destroy the limitation of morality whenever it rears its ugly little head. Being greedy instead of being giving is also a moral choice, though on the other spectrum. I do not go out of my way to be evil.

7) It is a CRIME. PERIOD. With that understood, I do not care what responsible people (who know the legal price of their actions) do in the name of knowledge/power.

8) Satanism means different things to different people.

-1- What is your view about the afterlife?
What will happen will happen.
-2- Do you believe Jesus and the God of the bible exist?
No.
-3- Do you normally feel happy in your life?
There are some things that keep me down, but I like the direction I'm heading in.
-4- What made you follow the left-handed path?
The way I like to phrase it, a fire of great magnitude was ignited in my soul. But really I follow because it is the way I am.
-5- Do you like Satan for what he is and what he does?
I don't believe in a literal Satan. But as for the stories of how he rebelled against god, and made sure we have the option to serve god or rebel against him is very admirable. As a symbol, for the animal side of humans, insurrection, and the power of will, I think he's pretty cool.
-6- What are the morales learned. Are they all about selfishness and greed above all?
Morals are culturally defined and learned. While in the LHP many do promote selfishness and greed, but it makes no sense to be entirely greedy or selfish since it is detrimental to be like that. I find the state of self-actualization to be a much more worthy goal.
-7- Do you support/enjoy child sacrifice?
No. To do so is to violate the rights, dignity, and humanity of another. Very few, if any, fringe groups tolerate it.
-8- Can you summarize what Satanism is all about? Because from my own experience, each one described it differently than the other.
I have read the Satanic Bible, but I myself am not a Satanist.
