Ok, don't think too much of this.

Just a very quick pole on whether you, first hand, without looking it up right now, know of what private franchising is and its workings. Please vote, I need the results for something real soon and thanks a lot in advanced.

Any advice is also welcome.

I'm under the impression it's just the new buzz word for multi-level marketing or network marketing. I would imagine it attracts prospects that the other 2 terms would put off.

I would fall into the category of "I barely know anything about financing, let alone private franchising." If it's private, though, I certainly hope people will have the decency to keep it in their homes!

I haven't looked it up, but as I am aware, private franchising is simply when you privately own a business that is a franchise. You pay a royalty fee to the main corporation for the use of their name and business products. Such as owning a local Subway or Pizza Hut. If I am wrong feel free to correct me, but I am going off my knowledge from where I work...where I have to create the royalty report at the end of every week for the restaurant I work in.

Ok, are we talking about franchising a non public company (as in not traded on the stock exchange) business...which I would just refer to as 'franchising' or the MLM version?
If you're talking about the former, we own a franchise, so I can walk you through how ours works, but it probably wont be the same as - say - a fast food restaurant or a shop that sells donuts or whatever.

Well, that's what I think. You run a business, as if it was your own, but one using a brand name. Sot of half way between working for someone and being out on your own.
