That is very elegant looking! That's a lot of adorable trash pandas!
Have you seen a leucitic/white one yet? I hear once you set up a safe haven long enough you'll start seeing some color mutations, like this one:
I think we start getting more nervous about feeding animals the larger they are, but I look at it similarly to feeding birds and squirrels. Yes, it does increase human reliance but also human impact has decreased a lot of their natural habitat. So without human reliance some of them probably couldn't even sustain a population large enough to not be in danger. So in some circumstances (though not all) I think it cancels it out.I wonder what if any effect feeding raccoons have on the food chain and on the raccoons. Like it wouldn't be good if the raccoons become too trusting/reliant on humans and it wouldn't be good if the raccoons became overpopulated or something. Then again if they are too trusting of humans not feeding them might lead to issues as well.
It's not a good idea. Especially if you don't want them tearing up your attic and such.I wonder what if any effect feeding raccoons have on the food chain and on the raccoons. Well it's better than bears. It's not a good idea. Especially if you don't want them tearing up your attic and such.
I misread that as "raccoons on my desk"...
Wowwww, so many. Some years ago, a few of them came to our attic. They were making so much noise at night. So, we hired someone to remove them. But in the deck is probably OK.
Time to clean the grill!Well it's better than bears.
Not smart. That thing could rip your arm off without trying hard. I like bears but that's too close.Bears like BBQ!
Yea. My uncle had electrified perimeter wire with fairly good results. Not smart. That thing could rip your arm off without trying hard. I like bears but that's too close.

Different families:Are bears sort of related to raccoons.. They kind of seem similar in habit, and sort of look like little bears
Yea, in our case, they woke us up at night, otherwise I wouldn't mind either.I do not think the raccoons are in my attic but they climb the trees and walk across the roof to get from the back deck to the front deck.
There are critters in my attic though, and I suspect they are squirrels. I don't care because I have too many more important things to worry about. A house is just a house.
