I've noticed that we have some Islamic friends on this forum, and I would like to ask a really tough question. Before doing so I need to qualify it some: I see all people as children of God. I am not prejudiced. I am naiive as to Muslim beliefs for the most part. I am not asking this question to incite anger. So...ok, here goes:
Most of the terrorist activities in the world today are initiated by Muslims. The leader of Iran has declared that Israel should be wiped off the face of the map. You hear many citizens of the Arabian countries declare that the United States is "the great Satan." Sadam Hussein. Osama Bin Laden. Teenagers strapping bombs to themselves and blowing themselves up, along with all the Jews they can take with them.
What's up with Islam? Is this what the Quran teaches? I'm sure that there must be many good Muslim people, but most of today's conflicts have Muslims at the heart of the controversy. I'm looking for some enlightenment.
