Thanks for the offer, it was very nice of you. The dilemma I have with appearing (voice or video) on a religious subject oriented show is, due to my past. While I have been on the radio, TV, also broadcasts streaming to audiences internationally over the internet, these were most all subject oriented to either technology or even of late to politics, not religion very much. I once did a call into a religious radio show on "God" to provide input on Hinduism but that was so long ago, and the funny thing is the ex-Catholic priest who hosted this show was later arrested as a child molester and ever since then I have been leary of these things because someone you think is one thing is also another thing.
My problem is, as soon as I go "public" on a religious venue, God knows HOW they manage to do this, but old good hearted characters from my past who seem to hunt me down or something recognize me somehow and before I know it they somehow got my phone number, are calling me up and wanting to relive those adventures from "the good old days" - they leave messages on the phone (I never answer my phone, unless it is something very immediate and call back if I might instead) that freak out my wife.
"Heyyyyy! ********-ji this is Para*********, hey, what's you do UNN, a couple of us are heading to L.A. for a (Hindu festival or something, flying to India, starting a new Hindu sect, whatever) come along 'cause they were talking about you and remember when (laugh) you (yadda yadda)..."
You see, I have been doing Hinduism since the Beatles first landed in the US and been around the block and there are all these characters out there who just want to "have Hindu fun" which is ok, but my wife freaks out and says "which WOMAN!" and the like. So too many know my file and I sort of have to be a secret agent today on the wire.
As far as Hindu guest, Vinayaka would be great. The subject of Chidambaram would be outrageously a hit big time. He is a good person. I am basically a rascal.
