Argh! I haven't got to go on here all day because I managed to get myself mugged and spent 4 hours in a police station giving a statement. 4 hours!!!

Does anybody else in England have problems with chavs (I know you don't have them in America you lucky people)? I cannot understand the mentality behind people who aimlessly wander around the middle of town, leeching off other peoples cash just to buy some green. Is it really worth it? Are your lives somehow more fulfilled? I bloody hope so because I could have done without that.

Anyway I had to get that off my chest (whilst resisting the pointless urge to swear profusely). Hopefully Ill be able to post properly tomorrow. Sleep well everybody. Love you all!

I hope you didn't lose too much during your mugging. I hope the cops (coppers, or whatever you call them in england) catch the jerk who mugged you. If it makes you feel better, i know what its like to be mugged. its hard to keep that swearin in huh? :D;)

Hey Fluffy, sorry to hear about your nasty experience. My older son Andy managed to get himself attacked four times by the age of 21!

Once, he was walking home from Grammar school and was attacked for no other reason than he was wearing a suit & the school tie!

The important thing is that you are OK.:)

What is a chav?
Chavs, Neds, Townies, Kevs, Charvers, Steeks, Spides, Bazzas, Yarcos, Ratboys, Kappa Slappers, Skangers, Scutters, Janners, Stigs, Scallies, Hood Rats, whatever you know them as, this site is about them, Britains peasant underclass that are taking over our towns and cities!

We have our own version of this in the US. Just different words to describe them. Trailer trash, Wigger, Mall Rats, Gangsta, StreetPunks.

Glad you are OK.

There is a problem with chavs in Blackpool. They're eveywhere. And I'm young. Luckily for me, all they seem to do is hang around at bus stops drinking cheap cider and being a small nuiscance. When they are drunk, they can be annoying.

I feel for you though. If I had my way, chavs would be given a swift beating. It's the contempt they have for others in society that irritates me.

Hey fluffy, we do have the problem of hicks coming on the weekend (as we are the capital).
The worst thing is that no one is safe, people of all races and ages have been attacked. Recently we even had a gang with their own fake taxi firm picking young women up and raping them.

I'm glad your alright Fluffy, but next time try and run ( or hit them in the privates and run).

glad you was not hurt severly by them,it could have got really nasty because these people have no regard for law, order or people, chav is known in the usa i believe as well as our england.......anyway mugging carries a stiff prison sentence i believe, lash em before they lock them up is what i say

problem is that all that would happen if they did get caught, and were doing excessive criminal behaviour is that they'd get an asbo or something. The police really need to get to the root of it, catching these bloody kids and making them pay.

Heya everyone, thanks so much.

I feel better now. I also feel really guilty about getting so angry over it. I really hope they just don't do it to anybody else. Thanks everyone for the support!

Lots of people in my school get the same problem as your son did, Michel. It is a pity because a suit is much better as a uniform than the standard pullover type thing, in my opinion.

There's no need to feel guilty - not from my point of view anyway; it is a healthy reaction to what you went through.;)
