I am not a feminist, but I do think rape culture exists, because it happened to me. I was raped by my father, and denied my right to receive justice. I am very angry person, and I have post traumatic stress disorder. I started trying to figure out why I feel like it is happening again, but no one warned me civilians can get PTSD, that antidepressant therapy works, and that belly dance heals. I want to share what helps me heal, so you can find healing. For me, Yeshua is the most healing Person ever. He is the first Person to ever make me feel safe, and I love Him for it.

I used to think her father was a good man and a respectable teacher.

Sad to hear this has happened to you. I've known many who were raped, it does leave it's scars, some make it back up while others can't.

It's good you share your story of sorrow and triumph. Continue your therapy. Continue to grow and heal. Sometimes climbing out of the darkest corners of our experiences and finding light in activities that brings us joy is a part of the process becoming a new you.
