One form of God is by definition supernatural (not bound by nature), so asking for evidence of that god is quite a stupid request.

In the same token, according to some faith, God can act within his creation so maybe they are asking for the evidence that shows his mark on it?

As ringer has said if this god interacts with the "natural" elements of our world then there should be and would be evidence of this interaction regardless of the gods own supernatural nature.

However, there is no evidence such an interaction ever happened.

You can only go by what the believer claims. If he claims nothing, then his belief in God is justified

eta: actually, no, that's not right. damn

btw, I don't know where I was going with this.

I`m surrounded by believers who make all kinds of claims about gods interaction with the physical world.

However it`s my experience that those theists who refuse to or are unable to define their god or make any claims about him do so as more of a defensive measure to protect him from my questions.

It also has the effect of making their god pretty worthless to anyone actually living in this physical world.

:) Then we can go anywhere with this.

First, what does it mean to be "not bound" by nature? What is nature?

I think you are missing the point that for many people believing in God and believing in the 'super natural' are the same vanity..
