Reasons To Believe In Yeshua/Jesus Christ Our Lord

Probably a big deal to Christians. I guess you have no use for language and fraud. So be it.
And yet, I respond candidly and without reservation. It is you who refuse to answer a direct question.

I believe that I said that I generally accept people's words for what they are. I am not telling them what they are. I am not accepting your word for what someone else is. Mormons tell me they are Christian, so I take their word for it. Baptists tell me they are Christian, so I take their word for it. Pentacostals. Catholics. Moravians. Quakers. Bob down the street.

What is arrogant about that?

ah, you bring up George Carlin. Sad story about him. He can joke about it, but humans in general are pretty concerned about death.
It is unknown what happens to humans after they die. This has been one of many UNANSWERED questions for ALL of human history.

Others many say are not Christian. Just because they call themselves Christian and you agree does not make it so.
Can't argue with that. On the other hand, it would be nice to get a definition or 10 as to what is a Christian? :)

Before I understood better what the Bible says about death, which is basically that when we die we are not conscious of anything, I thought that was true anyway. What happens at death? Nothing. We disintegrate. I believed that before and after I see what the Bible has to say about a resurrection. With one biggg exception. There remains hope for future life. I won't go into detail now...maybe later. (I hope so.)

What question did I refuse to answer? “What does it matter?” It matters. A lot. They pass themselves as Christians to make themselves more appealable and mainstream then scam and threaten people out of money, etc.

I am amused that you quote me up to a question that you didn't answer, and then ask me what question you didn't answer. I hope that was on purpose. The alternative would be...sad.

It means, is that the question? If so, here’s the answer. Is that so complicated?

This appears to be a meaningless WORD SALAD.

Apparently so. If it were obvious, then you would not feel compelled to substitute rhetoric for an actual answer.

See post #118.
OK, yes, I read it before. Thanks for mentioning it again. There are many groups or sects calling themselves Christian. Here's what I think: there are true Christians and false Christians. The Bible says that. I can only give you my own experience in part. I was aware of different groups and sects but found nothing of substance until later. So I'll just say that a true Christian is one that follows Christ. Now how do you find that, or define that beyond that? I learned at the beginning of my experience that only God can help point a person in the right direction and find the right path.

What do you mean "to humans"? We see human bodies go through all sorts of options. So you must mean the mind or consciousness. Why think these don't expire when brains die?

I answered and now you’re playing games. Weak. Since you have nothing productive to contribute, bye.

Muffled

Jesus in me
Do you believe it was intelligent of God to allow Noah and his family to survive the global flood so that he could repopulate the earth with the same morally flawed humans that he regretted creating in the first place? According to Genesis 6:6-7, he regretted creating mankind. Furthermore, the Bible implies that God is omniscient (Psalm 139:1–6; Isaiah 46:9–10; 1 John 3:20), omnipotent (Psalm 147:5; Job 42:2; Daniel 2:21), and omnipresent (Psalm 139:7–10; Isaiah 40:12; Colossians 1:17). Why would an all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-present God create humanity if he knew he'd later regret it and drown them all in a global flood (with the exception of Noah and his family)? And why would this God repopulate the earth with the same morally flawed humans that he would eventually condemn for their transgressions against him if they refused his forgiveness based on the blood sacrifice that his son offered when he was brutally tortured, nailed to a cross, and killed? Finally, do you believe that a loving and just God would create humans only to later regret it, drown them in a global flood (except for one family), and then restart the process in order to brutally sacrifice his son to redeem humanity?
I believe so.

I believe God gives everyone an opportunity to be saved and that makes a lot of sense.
