The Rebel Alliance (formally the Alliance to Restore the Republic) was a coalition of numerous cells of rebellion against the reign of the Galactic Empire. Famous among them were cells led by Senator Leia Organa, Bail Organa, Kanan Jarus, and infamously those of Saw Gurerra and agents within the Empire itself.
While varied in their tactics and measures against the forces of the Empire, all fought for the freedom of their people and of the galaxy as a whole, and for the downfall of the oppression of the Galactic Empire.
