Well, in the case of Native Americans they are practically inseperable. Faith was woven into just about everything in life. You lived in a sacrid way rather than just going to church on sundays (or saterday as the case may be)
I guess that was one of the benifits of having a 'non-organized' religion.

In my studies of religions it was said that the geography of the area you live in and even the food you eat have an effect on the religion of the area.
