It is easy to see that politics has taken some space here in RF, i dont take part in them my self any more. But i can understand especially our American members who been through some difficult years and months. Everywhere in the news it is about Trump and what he did or didn't do :)

Maybe the best advice i can give, is to not read those OP that was a political agenda.

I think its always leaned that way, though granted, I joined on an election year.

If you don't enjoy the politics, or any other topic, its best just to avoid the threads that lean that way. I have to do that a lot...

Yah... It wasn't always this bad.

Maybe things will start to lighten up in 2021?

Nah. It's been this way for awhile. More political stuff than normal since Trump took office, but religion has ironically never been a heavy emphasis here.

And you object to people having conversations that you don't approve of? Are you not able to ignore them? There are a lot of things going on within the forums that I never even peek at, because I'm totally uninterested.

You should try it, rather than hinting that it should be modified to suit your personal fancy.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I've been here quite a while. As I recall it's always been a mixture of topics.
Usually whatever is the trend at the time.

The times I have come across Noah's flood over and over and over... *yikes*

I'm guessing Trump fatigue is setting in with some as that is what people come across day after day.

Nah, you've got plenty more to say! Be the change you want to see, and you've been posting a lot of great topics on the subject of religion. I really appreciate that, just to let you know. :D

Thing is Americans are like that on every single site.

- X happens in a foreign country
- the people of the foreign country talk about X
- Americans enter the discussion and quickly say that they had the exact same thing except it wasn't
- They now derail the entire topic of X to Z and everyone is annoyed with them

It even happens in real life.
American tourists are notorious to compare every little thing with their US experience and then say the notorious sentence: "We don't do it like this where I am from."

Simply ban US politics as a topic. Problem solved.
