Well I joined bibleforums.org to further my knowledge of christianity, just as I do when I join other religious forums.

Of course I put a "plug" in my profile to our forums here b/c we not only discuss Christianity but many other religions and topics. Apparently they are not open enough to recognize that all us religious forums need to come together and bring everyones views into the open.

I find it very inappropriate for this email. If you find it threatening
that I am posting on your board and am from another board and want me to
leave just say it. Last time I looked you have a bibleforum board which
pertains to Christianity mostly. My board pertains to all world religions.
I have no problem with you or anyone from your site coming to by boards and
posting information about your site, as a professional courtesy. I am in
the business of seeking knowledge for myself and others around me. I would
have thought we could have had some sort of affiliation but it seems like
that is not going to happen.

You might as well delete my account.

It's nice to know a Christian forum has these types of morals. You must

This isn't about morals. This is about poaching members from other
message boards. Yours is the only board I have ever heard of that
condones that among his own members. And I did read your email thoroughly
and basically was able to ascertain that you came here to promote your
forums under the guise of forming some sort of partnership and that I "may
as well delete your account."

Your ordeal is nothing compared with mine, I was banned from 4 christian forums just because I am Muslim !!!

I dont know what those christians are afraid off ! I was the only muslim in their forums faced with dozen of hardcore fanatical christians and yet they banned me after just 2 weeks of postings !!

Those who restore to such tactics are weak in their faith...shame on them.

LMAO... Shield, go back to their forum under the name "Shield of God". Instead of calling God "Allah", simply call him "God", like they do... teach what you believe, leaving out references to Muhammad for a while... wait until they begin to agree with you or at least respect you, then try dropping the "by the way, I'm Muslim" bomb on them again...

Believe it or not, I kind of do that on some forums... I never really admit on the REALLY Christian ones what religion I am, and I refer to God as Him (even though I regard God more as It) and present some of my other ideas using familiar Christian terminology and reasoning. (Like, "Maybe Jesus was trying to tell us that Heaven IS God... or being with God? Just like Hell is being WITHOUT God...") You'd be surprised how people will listen to your views if presented as if you are "one of them"... :p

But Sheild, what is the point of doing that? To convert people? To start arguments? I'm all for discussion and debating and sharing on a forum like this which is here for that very purpose. But some forums are not that way and don't want people coming in challenging their views. Certainly I think any forum should be open to all people who are willing to abide by the rules set forth by the administrator and owner of the forum. Sure a Muslim should be allowed to join a Christian forum if they are wanting to know more about Christianity and are not there just convert people or start arguments.

I belong to a plethora of forums that range in topics from vegetarianism to religion, to gay and lesbian, to music forums, to environmentism, to soccer forums, to politics and others. Some are very open to anyone and anything someone wants to discuss is OK, others are more strict, like a vegetarian board requires that to be a member you must be a vegetarian, vegan or interested in becoming one. One of the music forums I'm a member of does not allow arguments at all, and you will be banned if you start one. On some of the soccer forums I go to, absolutely no topic other than soccer is allowed to be discussed, and will be deleted if you post something other than soccer.

I have forums that I go to just for support and information and have no desire to get into a debate with someone there and would be really put off if someone came into one of those forums just to start arguments and challenge everyone's views. When I feel like debating and having an in-depth discussion, I come to forums like this which are designed for that sort of thing. It all really boils down to the what kind of forum the owner wants to deal with, and I think one should respect their rules and if you don't like the rules, then you should go find another forum to join.

Anyway, just my 2 cents... :lol:

The other forum was upset b/c I put a link to these forums in my signature which if you go to about any other forum site known to man this is allowed.

I've been opressed!
