Does anyone here in the UK know anything about this?

Thanks in advance!

That doesn't make any sense. They are worried about offending those who don't believe it exists. Why aren't they worried about offending those who know it did happen?

I think the fact that it uses the spelling "Moslem" is telling enough of it's anti-Islam and slandering nature without having to resort to Snopes.

Not to mention it leaves out the homosexual, disabled, Romani, and various other not easily identifiably Judeo-Christian victims...

There is some sort of anti Muslim agenda going on here.

British schools teach the National curriculum.
At A and O level they teach the Curriculum and syllabus set out for that intake.
This will depend on the exam boards not the school.

Those doing modern history may or may not find the Holocaust as part of that syllabus.
as the syllabus changes year to year. the set subject may include any part of modern history and cover any part of the world.

The Holocaust has never been a fixed part of any syllabus.
neither have the Crusades been a fixed part of ancient history.

I suspect some one has noted that these items were not in a particular years syllabus and made 2x2=10 and are using the fact for their own agenda.

It is perhaps worth noting the Popularity of the state of Israel and their policies are at an all time low in the UK. This well might shed some light on this campaign.

it's either a false accusation spam mail, or it applies to very few British schools.

without wanting to be pickety, the person who wrote this email needs to brush up on his own holocaust history, and include the countless gays and disabled people that were slaughtered as well.

I think that our mistakes and misdeeds should be given special emphasis in education. An understanding of our own failings and the psychology that allows them is important to ensure that these are not repeated.
All governments twist history so suit their own ends, and paint their own people as exceptional paragons of virtue.

Arabs deny the Jewish holocaust and their alliance with the Axis. Americans know nothing of Roosevelt's plan to induce Japan to attack on the US and bring us into WW II. In Turkey even mentioning the Armenian Holocaust can get you arrested, and the Japanese schools teach nothing of the activities of Unit 731.

Until we are aware that we are all flawed beings and understand how restrictive our moral universes really are we're doomed to repeat past atrocities forever.

Even if it hasn't been done yet, the mere fact that it is actually contemplated is pretty sad.

Well, didn't the a mayor (or something like that) refuse to call the attackers Muslim (regarding the recent terrorist attempts)?

If we can't identify who the enemy is, then the West is surely doomed.

I am not in the least bit surprised. We English have a wonderful habit of putting everyone elses feelings before "common sense".

Why, we even house and nurture (some) home grown Muslims who despise us for what we are, and spit in our eyes whilw we bend over backwards trying to be P.C. We love letting folk walk all over us.

Did you read the Snopes article linked by Mestemia? This email is all just anti-Muslim bullcrap.

I must ask, where were those "feelings" considered during the British colonisation of the Middle East and South Asia and the resulting problems of their sloppy pullout? Where are those "feelings" considered when British Muslims are alienated from the mainstream?
