Reporting on COVID-19 --- CDC is out of here!

People have been complaining about the wildly fluctuating numbers. If it's anything, it's the administration putting a lid on this and trying to keep the reporting accurate -- something they've obviously been failing at this whole time.
The above is called "putting lipstick on a pig".

The CDC numbers are constantly being adjusted as new figures come in as not all places report the results in a timely fashion. We know Trump & Co hates accuracy on this because it goes against their "We're all fine & dandy, and Trump's the messiah" message. And now we see this orchestrated attack on Fauci by the administration because Trump and his minions don't like science and facts.

One consolation though is that the states keep their own records, but even there games can be played as we saw the Florida governor do recently. Wanna take a guess which party he belongs to and what his stand on Trump is?

By "accurate" you mean what Trump wants us to believe? You trust Donald Trump to not lie? Or rather that should be reworded. You trust that Donald will not lie pathologically anymore?

I'm mirthfully speculating that Trump is trying to hurt his re-election campaign.
I really dont think he wanted it to begin with. He voiced a fire of a passion, but after his personal honeymoon phase of executive orders he gave himself (because, lets not forget, Trump failed to get a proper presidential honeymoon), he showed us hes an ambitionless shell when it comes to actually leading at the helm in an environment not set up to cater to him. He wants to go back to hks fantasy world where he is god, but he can't publicly state this or his world comes crashing down. Being god in a world that you dont mold and craft takes aot of work and effort, and hes shown at best he doesnt have the drive to be a mayor out in the real world.

This will hurt re-election chances IMO.
At the risk of repeating myself,
Trump has never been elected to anything. But he is good at lying and running a rigged system. That's why he's in the White House now.

Trump cannot get re-elected this year.

We've been over the facts before.

Hillary isn't president because the USA isn't a democracy. Trump supporters like to talk about Trump's election. But they don't like having the people make the choice of President, oligarchy works much better for them.

So people like you talk about "you believe Hillary is Prez.", when that's obviously not true. I don't believe that.
You talk about Trump's election, as though the American electorate voted for him. When we both know they didn't.

Trump is Trump. Sort of like how Bush Jr. is Bush Jr., except he gets Governor Bush at best.

High school civics class should've told you some facts about the Electoral College.
They elected Trump.
If he were to be re-elected, they'd do it.
Like it or not, that's how our representative democracy works.

Well....

Actually Bush II did win in 2004.
He'd started a bunch of wars and his economic policies hadn't melted down, yet.

Of course, that's the only presidential win the Republicans have had since the 80s. It's no surprise they'll stoop to anything, including collusion with the Russkies.

Actually no.

I was taught that the USA is a democratic republic. We The People elect our representatives, then those representatives do business.
It wasn't until after the Reagan election in 1980 that I realized that what I learned about America in school was oftentimes quite false.

He did, but it stands on his ill gotten first win. Much like if Trump gets it this time, it too will still stand on top of an election We the People did not endorse. (Though perhaps more sinister in Bush's case given SC involvement in 2000)

I went to a pricey Christian academy.
My parents popped both the property taxes that paid for the high end public schools in our district and the tuition that paid for better schools than that.
