Mathematician
Reason, and reason again
I don't know how many people here have heard about Channel One, but it's a short news show that goes out to high schools and middle schools around America. A few days ago my friend made a joke about someone from my school getting on, not actually being serious about it. Well after hearing about the "Voice your Opinion" segment, I took the idea and actually did get on. Let me tell you, I have never seen my entire class laugh so loud-- and what I said wasn't even funny.
To see the entire part where kids voice their opinion about their favorite political party, go to www.channelone.com, click "Watch Today's Show" (top-right'ish in blue), click "Expand Playlist" under October 23rd, and choose the last option on the scroll-down menu. I must admit, you can't see my face at all, except for my nose (which I swear, isn't THAT big. (Refers everyone to my Myspace, www.myspace.com/ikissbabies, for more appropriate sizes).
They cut me off though. The rest went somewhat like this:
"I think the Green Party's many platforms coincide with my vision for America. I care about issues the other two parties chose to push aside, such as banning the death penalty, and concentrating on environmentalism and recycling."
I think the full transcript might (or has) got on ABC news. As far as my personal feelings? Excited. A lot of people didn't know what the Green Party actually supports, and some didn't even know there was more than two political parties. All in all, a fun time. I think there's a conspiracy to cut me off early and allow the Republican/Democrat to talk longer, though.
