Republican Lawmakers Outraged to Hear the Word "Vagina"

I'm sorry where have the grown-ups went? Seriously offended by "vagina", how childish and immature can you be?

I don't think the case can really be made because of the word itself, but the comment that it was in. That is, she said "Mr. Speaker, I'm flattered you're so interested in my vagina, but no means no." She kind of spat it a bit with some attitude and could almost be taken as if she was meaning something personal. Up until she made that comment her speech was quite good, but it seemed like she kind of threw it on the end there for some reason that didn't quite make sense.

I think the word vagina is too offensive, and Va-g-g too childish.

the only respectable and mature way to direct to it is "puzzy" in my book.

Really, though, if she was speaking about how a woman's vagina is her business and that what she chooses to do with is up to her, then I don't see how they could find issue. It's stating that the Speaker had some interest in hers and saying "no means no". It makes out like he's propositioned her or something and she keeps turning him down.

I thnk maybe if she have used some adjective that helped people to realize she meant it in a good way like "sweet"

My "sweet vagina" for example.

Oh yeah, that would have come off great. :p

"Mr Speaker, I'm flattered you're so interested in my sweet vagina, but no means no."

Oh yes, so much better. :D

This is a joke right? this is too ridiculous, where does it says it is a joke?

The bill will include Part A(1)(a) providing that any women who seeks to use the word vagina in a floor debate be required to wait 72 hours after consulting with her physician before she may say it. It will also require her physician to certify in writing that said woman was not improperly coerced into saying the word vagina against her will. Section B(1)(d) provides that prior to allowing a female to say the word vagina a woman will have a mandatory visit with her physician at which he will read to her a scripted warning detailing the scientific evidence of the well-documented medical dangers inherent in saying the word vagina out loud, including the link between saying the word vagina and the risk of contracting breast cancer.

Yes, it's a joke. The whole thing appears to be just a blog commenting on what actually happened. Thing is, it doesn't actually say what happened really. I couldn't find in it what she actually said or anything. The rant just went off about the word vagina. I found a video of the speech itself and watched it. That's how I know what she said and how. I personally found it inappropriate and I am in no way a Republican nor a prude. At least, I don't think I am.

Well I never!!! How dare you use the word "vagina" when describing someone else's outrage to the use of the word "vagina". I am outraged at this. Furthermore, I am outraged because you have made me outraged. But mostly, I am just saddened that this happened in the country I live in and in the state I am from. :sad4:

I guess the video is on that original page. I didn't scroll down that far to notice as I thought the wording was just getting ridiculous. Watch the video.

Yeah, she should have been a much more demure little girl about it. It's simply outrageous that she should be angry and provocative. You know what her problem is? She doesn't know her place.
