Republicans are a threat to democracy

Well look at that, there are leftist journalists trying to spread propaganda to cover for the Democrats. But the people aren't buying it. They experienced the inflation that peaked over 9% and prices for groceries that have gone up 20% under Biden/Harris when they go to buy groceries. They know that the supposed high employment numbers mask that most of the "new jobs" are part-time and going to immigrants. And the rising debt. The spin isn't working.
If you are getting that from Fox:

Fox News totally ignored new report showing violent crime is down — while running more than 4.5 hours of violent crime coverage

And the rising debt.
I agree it's a problem that needs serious attention. The Republican platform would as usual make things worse by just cutting taxes. Are you willing to endorse this proposal that would work from the Chase CEO

Wall Street veteran Dimon has a dual-prong proposal to bring the deficit back into balance: Focus on growing the economy to bring the all-important debt-to-GDP ratio back into line and rebalance the tax system for middle-income families.

What is the 'Buffett Rule'?

The Buffett Rule states that no household earning more than $1 million annually should pay a smaller share of its income than middle-class families.
The September report revealed America's 400 wealthiest families actually paid 8.2% of their income in taxes, owing in large part to loopholes in capital gains taxes.

Some would say Democrats are communists and are more of a threat.
They have Communist views and have done everything thing in their power to defeat trump before the election begins.

Nobody here believes that you speak for "the people".

Corporations have been making record profits. High prices are mostly due to gouging and greed.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

Oh and those part time jobs? They are part time because they don't cost the employer much if anything in the way of benefits.

By global standards, democrats are right of center. Which views in particular are you claiming accuracy fit the definition of communism?
The whole "communist" thing is so obsolete that only those stuck in the 1950's are still obsessed by it since it died in 1990 except for places like DPRK.

And of course you're correct @Father Heathen about global standards. The right has gotten so far right that they have an OVerton window that labels anyone who they disagree with a communist or something equally sad.

That's true. But for government to make such businesses cover that will be labeled communist by those who can't tell the difference between communist and government focus on the needs of those who work for a living.

I'm sorry, please break that down for me. Thanks.

Much like the term "woke", communism, socialism, marxism, etc. are used as lazy pejoratives to refer to anything conservatives don't like, actual dictionary definitions be damned.

communism, political and economic doctrine that aims to replace private property and a profit-based economy with public ownership and communal control of at least the major means of production (e.g., mines, mills, and factories) and the natural resources of a society. Communism is thus a form of socialism—a higher and more advanced form, according to its advocates. Exactly how communism differs from socialism has long been a matter of debate, but the distinction rests largely on the communists’ adherence to the revolutionary socialism of Karl Marx.

I never mentioned Fox News. I don't see anyone else here that mentioned them. I don't watch Fox News. So your peculiar thing about Fox News is just you.
We don't really care where you got the false impression about crime rates, only that you are wrong as usual. :)

The political compass thing seems to have gone out of fashion. I couldn't find one for 2024, so here is one from 2020. Note that to be considered communist, one has to be far on the left and the top.

This chart confirms what I've known for quite some time. And those whose views fall within the upper right quadrant take umbrage and get all bent out of shape whenever they're associated with any of the peers in the same quadrant. Some people are obsessed with this "bothsidesism" that I hear about.

Don't want to be associated with the other side or viewed as "the same"? Then they should modify their views and get out of the same quadrant as other right-wingers. It's their own political views which make them "the same," and that's totally within their power to change.

Right, and no notable politicians in the U.S. have been in that quadrant.

There are people who would say anything no matter how outlandish or false it may be.

Because they use facts, not "alternative facts".

Hey, all of a sudden you conservatives hate the free markets doing their thing. Which is it? Do you want free markets setting prices, or Big Government interfering to keep prices down? Can't have it both ways and not look like hypocrits.
They know that the supposed high employment numbers mask that most of the "new jobs" are part-time and going to immigrants.
And this is based on what data? Is it Trump's lies you are relying on here?
And the rising debt. The spin isn't working.
Too bad Trump and republicans passed that huge tax cut that helped the wealthy over 80%. I'll bet you regret those tax cuts now. Or do you want to cut all social services (which would have a massive affect on the poor)?
