Revisiting Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith

I thought I'd further break down my understanding of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith:

Early on in the movie, Obi-Wan and Anakin face Count Dooku, who has allegedly kidnapped his master Palpatine as a scheme. Anakin ends up winning against Count Dooku by cheating. He pulled Dooku's hands down which were holding his lightsaber during battle, then took them off with his lightsaber. He then grabs Dooku's lightsaber and places them one on each side at Dooku's neck. Palpatine says "Kill him Anakin" and you see a look of shock come across Dooku's face. He seems too shocked to speak at being betrayed by his master. Dooku is killed by Anakin.

Afterwards, Palpatine talks to Anakin about Darth Plagueis and how his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Darth Plagueis was actually killed by Palpatine some time during The Phantom Menace. But Palpatine never mentions who the apprentice is.

Anakin tells Mace Windu what was said. But seems to expect a trial and possible arrest of Palpatine. Mace Windu and several Jedi confront Palpatine for arrest, but after every Jedi falls at the hands of a wild Palpatine, Mace decides at some point he's going to kill Palpatine. Anakin, who seems to act like he's going on no sleep, decides the outcome of the battle, slashing Mace with his lightsaber at the thought of no trial. Then Palpatine uses Force Lighting on Mace Windu to knock Mace out the window Mace destroyed, and at that point, Palpatine stops using the Force to conceal his true appearance, which is that of an old man, despite not being that old, due to the evils of the Dark Side making him look much more worn. Palpatine blames the Jedi as attacking him as the reason for his appearance.

When Obi-Wan faces Anakin on Mustafar, as Sidious fights Yoda, he eventually taunts Anakin about how he can't defeat him due to not having the high ground. With lava coming, Anakin takes that bet and jumps, and Obi-Wan is ready. Anakin does a full jump as had he jumped for the very edge, Obi-Wan would have used Force Push and the outcome would have been the same.

Obi-Wan either leaves Anakin without a final blow because either he thought he wouldn't survive the lava, or by that time, Sidious' ship was coming.

Another confusing element for Anakin is though he seemed to support the Republic, and be against the Separatists, Padme, who was a Queen turned Senator, started to kind of veer away to being a Separatist of sorts.

You're forgetting the most important power player in the whole series...
