RF meet-up and gay wedding in CT

John and I have scrapped the idea of Boston, and are now planning to get married in New Haven, Connecticut on Tuesday, 29 September (our 7th anniversary).

Our plans are incomplete, but we're operating on a shoestring, so there probably won't be any reception to speak of. However, B-cup has suggested, and I agree, that since we're going to New England anyway, it would be a good chance to meet up with RF members there.

If anybody's interested in coming to the wedding, or meeting up with a group of RFers either before or after, please let me know.

Are you flying in and out of Boston? If you are, Boston might be a more central location for us all to meet up.

We should all definitely do an after wedding dinner and dancing even if it's not on that particular day! I can't wait!

It's remotely possible that we may drive up, but at the moment we're planning to fly in and out of Boston.

I know we have two RFers who live in Maine (I think) and one who lives in Rhode Island. I'd mention them by name but don't want to give out their location publicly without their permission.....however, I REALLY hope they can arrange to come. :yes:

We're taking a week off, but John would like to stop in New York if we have time, and I'm determined to go to Maine for a couple days. I have dead ancestors in Waldoboro, and John accepts the fact that even on the honeymoon there must be genealogy.

Wow, that's an ambitious trip....I suggest you fly to Boston instead of driving then. Priceline has a car rental service too, btw.

We'll fly into Boston and be in Providence for a week so I'll wait to see where everyone else thinks is the most convenient place to meet. Maybe when you have your itinerary settled you can fill us in....it's your wedding and honeymoon trip after all.
