If one of our court magicians, the one known as "iti" does as suggested here:
.....Execute him at once.
Our royal mother doesn't know better, but that would count as sneaking around clear orders by the queen. Since she's the royal mother, she can do whatever she likes. Him, however, that traitor, doesn't have such privileges.
More death row candidates to come later.

Oh, dear son, in your infinite graciousness I beg you grant your poor dear mother this one small boon -- spare thy good and faithful servant Iti Oji! It should weigh heavy upon the heart of your dear and loving mother, should she have to bear the knowledge that she, and she alone, was the cause o' the demise of one so pure in faithful devotion to the crown and to thy mother, the queeen. If ye must, look woefullly upon me -- for surely I tempted young Iti to speak thusly. If I must, then I shall bear the burden of thy fair and noble displeasure.
I beseech thee, look closely, for I am sure that there is a wellspring of kindness in thy noble heart to grant a pardon for any possible offense that may be perceived -- but most surely not intended, by thy mother and the dearest friend of the court -- Iti.
I call dibs on whoever is in charge of the booze.
Wait, who's the fairy Witch again? I need to know who to pay off here.
Aha, I see it's NIX.
Okay, make your expense report on what you need to combat the evil powers of Iti (with your own evil powers of course) and send it to my office, or leave it with my secretary if I'm out drinking with the royal Booze tender.
But seriously, don't go overboard. Eye of newt ain't cheap you know. And you get paid when the job is done, none of this hourly-take-your-sweet-time business. We have a powerful traitor to subdue!
Call the Inquisitor! Call the executioner! Call the lead knight of the round table! Call someone!!
The Royal mother's gone mad!
Better yet, call the court magician (not the poisonous traitor one, the other one; noble Gjallarhorn). We need help to reverse this spell.
We may even have to attempt to consult with the malevolent fairy witch. She's not know to be helpful, but i put it upon our Royal Treasurer to find a way to get her to help us.

I will prepare an amulet, but that will only get us so far. If Iti is still enchanting, it will be as if one were treating the wounds of a knight mid-contest.
The Queen requests a personal guard/confidant. One who would be highly trusted with security and secrets and would be competent in investigating as well. Applications are now being taken for the role of Her Majesty's Confidant.
