He won't. If anything, he's far more likely to review his diet, maybe exercise a bit more, or perhaps try and cut out some stress. Seeking god is something he is very unlikely to do, I applaud his strength of character for not being scared to the point of superstition over such a thing.

I had no need for a belief in a deity in my recovery from my own stroke. Still don't. Good meds and a team of doctors and physical/occupational therapy.

First of all Ben Stein is a horrible person that lied to several people to get them in his movie.

Second of all, mathematically speaking it is improbable that other life does not exist.

The idea of aliens existing is much less ludicrous than the idea of a being that defies physics.

It's probably not going to nudge him towards god, be any sort of eye opener, or any other such things. When I developed IBS, it was a very anxiety-plagued time because the symptoms are similar to symptoms of a ton of other things, including some forms of cancer. But it didn't get me thinking anymore about god, or thinking that maybe I should seek god's forgiveness, or anything else like that - I remained steadfast in my not knowing and not caring.
