The Kemetic Therian

I was wondering, If any of you would have any good Egyptian rituals? [Preferably To bast or Anubis] And if there are any good ways of setting up an egyptian altar

:3 Thanks!:rainbow1:

Reconstructionism isn't my thing, so unfortunately I don't have much to offer. If I wanted to know, though, I'd start scoping out academic references on Egyptian religion and seeing how they set up altars in the past, then mirror based on that. Or, if I didn't care about tradition purity, I'd do whatever was practical and/or felt right.

I suspect traditional home altars in ancient Egypt were extremely simple, as is true of ancient Pagan altars in general. Probably just incense, a libation bowl, food offerings, and statuary. Given the location, the types of incense/foods/oils they do would be restricted to those that actually grow in that part of the world (or that ancient Egyptians historically traded with other cultures). Frankincense and myrrh would be fair game, for instance, but definitely not something like copal.
