RNA

I don’t think an RNA world existed before DNA came onto the scene. Viruses today that have RNA need a host to survive so how could an RNA virus survive before the emergence of hosts with DNA? It doesn’t make sense. Scientists speak of a simpler or different kind of RNA existing at that time but it seems unlikely.

Why not?

Viruses today that have RNA need a host to survive so how could an RNA virus survive before the emergence of hosts with DNA?

Notice how you changed the terminology? Suddenly you talk about viruses.

It doesn’t make sense. Scientists speak of a simpler or different kind of RNA existing at that time but it seems unlikely.
And on what do you base that unlikeliness? From where I sit, it seems as just another argument from incredulity.
