Hydrogen is a good fuel source given that it's clean and abundant. But obtaining it from water requires both time and electricity that makes that source non-viable.

The other issue is placing and storing the hydrogen on board a small mobile vehicle safely and efficiently. These issues have been mostly worked out but to implement them in automobiles requires a big and expensive infrastructure change. And of course the oil companies will fight that change with their giant piles of money. And since money is basically our God, the world over, fighting with a god is not likely a fight anyone can win.

"Octopi" has become so common
that I've adopted.
