Ares with my mala lol
I'm pretty sure that our local gem and mineral shop (it's pretty pagan and new-agey) sells very similar things, and I know I've seen things like that at the annual gem and mineral show at the state fairgrounds (here in Illannoying)...Something that comes to mind for me with these things is where the materials made from them came from. I guess it's kind of a Druid thing, as the materials are a gift from the Earth and I find it important to consider what gave up part of itself for us to make things, especially things used for a sacred or religious purpose. Also considered are the human hands that made them. Or perhaps not, as so many things are made by machines now, which... I dunno... it changes the spirit of them in ways that don't synch that well with my tradition most of the time.
The closest thing I have to a rosary is something I hand crafted in part for these kinds of reasons. Also because there's no way I could have bought it anywhere anyway - I doubt anybody sells Elemental "rosaries" in a store. I made these so long ago I don't quite remember what all the stones are, but they are all various rocks and minerals... nothing artificial.
I'm pretty sure the black beads (Quintessence) are Onyx, the Air beads are Aquamarine, the Fire beads are Red Jasper, the Earth beads are Sandstone, and the Water beads are Sodalite. Then the tiny beads on the end bits are probably Quartz for the clear ones and Malachite for the black cylinder.
I clutch them frequently. When we walked to the park a few days ago, a Somalian Muslim lady thought they were Islamic beads, and she held them and taught me how she begs Allah for forgiveness, mercy on each bead.I had a sunstone mala, but @Spiderman has it now.
Ave Maria gratia plena Dominus tecum Benedicta tu in mulieribus et benedictus Fructus ventris tui IesusIf you have a set, show them here. I think they are very beautiful and some are antique. Here are mine,
