I've seen some British, Australian and New Zealand RFers.

So I think theres enough people who know what Rugby is.

First question. probably an easy one.

Which hemisphere is the best North or South?

Second does Australia stand a chance in the tri-nations serise against defending champions New Zealand or South Africa?

Third when will England win again?

South.:sad4:

I doubt it; it would be nice though.
Third when will England win again?
When I see a pig fly past my window.

Are we talking union here or league? I can't stand league personally despite being a northerner. Union, I'd definitely go with southern hemisphere being best, though.

Hmm. I don't think the Austrailians will like that. But it is true. ;)

On the England side of things. I was watching them play. They look flat. No inivation. No Johnny.
They need someone like a Brian Habana (RSA) or a George Smith (Australia) or a Carlos Spencer (NZL).
Who do think in the english team can do it for them?

And how about those Scotts! Okay so they lost the last two against RSA in RSA but they did well. Gave the Boks a good scare!

Ok first of all.... Carlos Spencer, while innovative did not EVER have the discipline to win matches. Too flashy. Flashy = You LOSE. I would have thought a South African would have known this ;)

South Hemisphere is best, just so it's a consensus... I'm not sure what's happening with the AB's atm. Looks like the coaching staff are going for a slow build to the WC '07 cos we honestly struggled to beat the Irish during their recent tour.

English rugby is either boring and effective or boring and crap. I don't think there's ever been an English team with attacking flair. Even Johnny kicks for the corners and makes the big men chase it!

And finally. I really am not a huge rugby fan. Unfortunately living here you can't help but know more about it than anyone has a right to know.

Which leads me to your next thread...

CRICKET!!!!! Game of the Gods? I think so!

How can you say that about Spencer. He has a vision for the game like no other. Yes he is flashy but he makes the game look so easy when he gets it right.

Remember you can't guage yourself on the northan hemisphere (sorry guys) You need to see how you do when you play against the best in the world.
All Blacks, Boks and some other team that wear yellow. Kangaroos or something. ;)
Because we all are playing terrible rugby now days. But we seem to 'bring it' when we play each other.
Can't wait for tri-nations!!!

Yeah it'll be great, and regarding spencer... sure he makes it look easy when he gets it right, but I think I saw him get it right in about 5 first class games, and that counts provinicial. Consistency is what builds a dynasty mate. Dan Carter is almost the same kind of player... but with more simplicity to his game he brings consistency to the table too.

I honestly think you fellas are gonna win, but not by much. We'll both beat Aussie twice, and you'll beat us at home and vice versa on our end... maybe points differntial I think.

Yea you right. I don't know who will win in the end. But probably whoever beats Australia with bonus points.

Ooo. Carter is really good. And Omanga.

Tell me did you hear anything about Brendon Sela taking Cocain? I thought he was going to get suspended or something.

What ever happened to Jono Lomo?

I dunno. I think it's Wendall Sailor you mean, the Wallaby winger? Yeah he's pretty much gonna be snubbed for the rest of his footballing life I'd say. He's done too much too often, got in lots of fights in bars etc.

Jonah Lomu has a kidney disease and basically is incapable of playing anything more strenuous than lawn bowls.

Umaga has officially retired from All Black rugby and it looks like he's going to play in France for 1.4 Million NZ$ just for playing 4 games!

Yes.. You got the Sailor guy right. Pitty about Umanga!
Those lawn bowls would be one hell of a game! I feel sorry for all the pentioners when Lomu steps onto the green. :)

What games are on tomorrow. I know its South Africa -> France
Are New Zealand or the Aussies playing?

Oh by the way. Rathbone! Leaving SA and playing for Australia. Did it even merit a mention in NZL?
Here he turned from hero to vilan overnight.

Nah, we'll probably hear about it when we play Aus next ;)

I'm not sure ;) Like I said, I'm not a huge rugby fan, and tend to avoid going into town on game days. Too many drunk idiots on the streets :D. Unfortunately when it's your National religion....

Ohhhh Noooooooo!!!!!

Those blue chickens! (French) beat SA in unders 21 and their senior team beat SA!

Jake White (SA Coach) says he might not renew his contract to coach SA. This would be a huge loss as he is widely regarded as the best coach to coach South Africa since the great Kitch Christie who guided SA to the 95 world Cup victory.

At least we beat the All Black u21 side!! ;)

And yes unfortunatly you are right about the sucking part. The Boks did suck royally.
Nothing interesting to speak of. Can't even blame the ref this time. I think he was Australian, so maybe we can blame him just for fun, :D

Jake White (Sprinbok Coach) Still in doubt over possible move to England Rugby Board. Has chosen his Tri-Nations team. It is full of younger players. Definitly a team to develope for the future.
Will it win this tri-nations? probably not.

Heh, well our squad's finalised too, and it's looking quite a bit stronger than the daft trial teams we've been sending to play Argentina and the like. Finally a team that might just have some cohesion!

Aussie beat Ireland a lot more convincingly than us... might have to watch out for them methinks

Nope. There is no chance Australia will beat the All Black. They can sing walsing whoever until the cows come home. It wont do it for them.

The All Blacks are way to far ahead.

As you can see from my posting here, us South Africans really don't like the Aussies. We have a lot of respect for NZL but none for Australia. I think it's because of Shane Warne. Or that half our population moved to Australia before our 94 elections.

Yeah well the other half came here ;) there must be more South Africans working for my company than any other ethinicity :D

Say this to them "footsek" try say it fast. It means "go away" (but a little more harsher than that) It is spelled totally wrong but I did it so you can say it properly. The real spelling is Voetsek. Or "Buyadonkey" this means "thank you."

Or our favorite "Howzit" this means "Hello, how are you" proper response is "Lekker"

Have they said this to you. "I'll do it 'now-now'." or 'just-now' .

Anyway. We are definitly a breed on it's own. Tell them I say Howzit.
