Rumpelstiltskin: Radius

Rumpelstiltskin is a devious troll from a famous folk tale who traps a helpless girl in a death-wager which she can only escape by guessing the troll's real name. The troll is collecting a terrible fee for spinning straw into gold for the girl so she can use the wealth to buy her happiness from an otherwise overbearing king.

This eerie but famous folk tale has been adapted in various media and represents a human angst towards the uncertainty of obtaining wealth honestly.

We make Hollywood (USA) films such as The Wolf of Wall Street perhaps because we're extra-sensitive about possessing collateral.

Rumpelstiltskin is a metaphysics symbol of profiteerism consciousness and can be referenced liberally in new age discussions about finance hellfire (e.g., Enron).

There is a distinct modern cinema and pulp novel trend focusing on throwback worlds of 'old world fantasies' and fairy-tale enchantment.

The Tolkien adapted films and Star Wars films indicates this operatic ode to fantastic realms could be a recoil movement in response to machine-age tech-themed artwork (e.g., Star Trek and Terminator films).

So we see in popular culture a presentation of 'time-experimentation' liberties, suggesting that the modern world is ultra-sensitive about 'magic economics.'

Rumpelstiltskin joins the exclusive club of 'finance-obsessed' fantasy-realm characters such as Shylock, Lubdan, Richie Rich, and Goldfinger.

We can consider how the marketing of such characters represents the artist's presentation of experimental religion.

In fact, I'd like to do a study of how fantasy-realm characters exhibit a special interest in avant-garde metaphysics.

I am so glad you brought up Rumpelstiltskin, I am a HUGE fan of this ancient days historical novel. The beings such as Rumpelstiltskin actually did exist though there is some fable and fabulous "artful embellishment" to the original, but overall it is pretty good.

These are not "symbolic" ... they happened. It's just been embellished, is all. Becareful who you make deals with. But also keep your enemies close to you. There are many forces involved. However, if you are a cute girl, you do have an advantage and being a smart cute girl is even better.
