Saddleworth is the only place in the UK that continues with the tradition of carting rushes to the Church each year.
These were once used on the floors for warmth in winter.
Now teams of morris men from all over the north west come to pull the cart up the very steep pennine hills. Pity the man on top.
They also spend much of the weekend drinking in the pubs along the way and dancing.
Tomorrow they take the final and hardest pull to saddleworth Church when they finish with a service.
