Salads

I ****ing love salads. They are the perfect balance of healthy and unhealthy deliciousness. All those delicious crispy, crunchy vegetables with a scrumptious dressing and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. Delicious!!

What are some of your favorite things to make into a salad?

I love vegetable salads with tomatoes, sweet peppers, cucumbers, mushrooms, sugar snap peas, and maybe even lettuce. Olives are good in there too, but I don't always have any of those. Then I put vinaigrette dressing on there and some cheese.

What's crazy is when I'm at a restaurant with a salad bar, and then I can put all sorts of wild things on there, like raw broccoli, sunflower seeds, spinach, or kernels of corn!

I don't care for green veggies. To me they are bitter and require a great deal of effort to eat (it doesn't help that the smell of many of them made me puke on a number of occasions as a kid).

I love salad - never put cheese in it though and I'm picky about the type of dressing.

olives, feta cheese, sometimes pine nuts (you have to slowly roast them on a pan before adding), paprika, carrot strips, balsamic vinegar, maize and everything you have listed aswell. although most of the time it will just be: salad leaves + tomatoes + cucucumber + olive oil + salt + paprika and feta cheese with olives.

not enthusiastic fan of salads btw. i only like em if there a huge chunk of grilled meat with it.

currently experimenting with having salads. it's just tomatoes, carrots and lettece and maybe olives if I'm having it with pasta.

Can't say I see salad as a meal in itself. Although, I quite like spinach, lettuce, rocket, cucumber, bell peppers, pickles, cherry tomatoes and sweetcorn covered in some creamy garlic sauce or something else unhealthy as an accompaniment to something more substantial. Potato salad is good also.

Nothing beats a fish-and-chip supper. You can have it with mushy peas, which is sort of like a salad. And a pickled onion. :p

I ****ing love salads.
Me too. All things equal, I'd prefer a salad over a dessert.

What I am not big on are things like croutons, seeds, and other nonsalad stuff. But I do like pickled beets and onions and squash and such. Some vegetables need a little work before they are excellent to eat cold.

Salads. I wish I could make them as delicious as when I have them out at a restaurant. They just taste so blah when I make them. :(
