Sanskrit Effect

It seems that recitation and memorisation of Sanskrit verses from the Vedas impact brain structure.

A Neuroscientist Explores the "Sanskrit Effect"

A friend however has pointed out that any memorisation act leads to such structural changes in brain and therefore memorisation of Vedic verses is not anything different.

Navigation-related structural change in the hippocampi of taxi drivers

But of course, In my opinion, the Vedic pandit-s are least interested in the structural changes of brain. Veda does not teach materialism. It is said that Vedic mantra-s represent the body of Ishwara and the Vedic singers are in union with that.

Opinions ( and recommendations for the scientists, if any).

All repetitive experiences effect our brain's structure as the neural pathways associated with them become "etched" into the substance of our neural net. It's why it takes time and repetition to create a 'habit", and time and repetition to break it, once created. And the longer one has engaged in the habit the longer it takes to break the thought patters involved in prompting it.
