Elvira Rahic is a Bosnian Muslim, but her parents moved to Skopje, Macedonia, before she was born. She was born and raised in Skopje but moved back to Bosnia and Herzegovina during the war.

Anyhow, she has a lot of nice songs - Luda zeno, Kad odes ti, etc... - but one of her best is Sarajevo tvoje (Sarajevo of yours).

Here is a live performance, such a pretty song! And it's so unusual to hear "Sarajevo of yours", most songs about Sarajevo are written by people born and raised in Sarajevo - so it's usually "Sarajevo moje" (Sarajevo of mine).

There's just not enough accordion in American pop music.

Hahaha. :D That made me laugh so hard I almost hope you were being sarcastic. LOL

But yes, we're diehards for a good harmonikas or accordion solo. Hahaha.

Through the Looking Glass
It's a joke for Americans, who probably don't know much accordian music. Here about the only accordian music one is likely to have heard is the kitschy polka music of "The Lawrence Welk Show" which was so awful that my generation pretty well did away with the accordion and it hasn't made much of a comeback. I have a book called "The Encyclopedia of Bad Taste" that catalogues tacky American pop culture history from 1930-1980 that includes an entry for "Music, Accordion."

Personally, I think accordion music can be cool when it's used the right way. I'm a big fan of Louisiana Zydeco music, which includes a lot of accordion.

And one of my favorites a pop-zydeco blend by the Zydeco Alligators:

Annoyingly Progressive Since 2006
There was a group about 10 years ago, or so, called "16 Horsepower." I think they were from the Denver area. They did kind of backwater-bluegrass-type stuff. They used a concertina in a lot of their stuff -- pretty close to an accordion.
