Alcohol can be extremely dangerous, if one is drinking and driving. I don't think you can say the same for tobacco and marijuana.

Marijuana and tobacco are natural substances found in nature. Alcohol has to be made through a fermentation process.

But apparently alcohol is not forbidden...and marijuana is.

I mean...here nobody goes to jail for selling vodka to middle-schoolers.
But if you sell marijuana to them...yes, you're jailed.
I wonder why...

Where I'm from (Canada) you'd go to jail for selling vodka AND marijuana to middle-schoolers.

Vodka and marijuana are both legal here, only for those over 19 years of age (or 18 years of age, depending on what province you're in).
My dad was an alcoholic and I can tell you firsthand that there was nothing safe about his alcohol intake.

And here in Michigan, weed is also legal.

However, I'm having a hard time trying to light my dandelions. :(

Wonder no more; ignorant people create ignorant laws. People who give hard liquor to children should be locked up.

I just noticed the video had been put behind a spoiler for nudity. And thats cool.

Evidently its too graphic for the adults of RF but ok for the school library..(only nudity was in the book)
Except that it's still here and available to those who wish to view it, and anyone here who would have a problem with nudity would likely be the sort who would also take issue with these books. It's a warning, not a ban, so the equivalent would be the book having warnings, which they may already have.

This is your opinion.
My personal opinion is that an educator who shows graphic images of sexual intercourse to prepubescents should be locked up.

It's would seem RF has established the limits on what ought to be in a school and on this forum.

RF has a spoiler requirement, and schools need that 'special locked shelf' only accessible with parents permission.

Issue solved.
